Friday’s Fave Five

friday-fave-five-springSusanne at Living to Tell the Story hosts a “Friday Fave Five” in which we share our five favorite things from the past week. Click on the button to read more of the details. Isn’t that a cute new spring button?

This was not the best week, for many reasons, some of which I can’t talk about. But thankfully the Lord sprinkled some bright spots throughout.

1. The Lord’s mercies, new every morning.

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.  The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Lamentations 3:22-25.

2. A new CDChrist Only Always, by the Galkin Evangelistic team. I’ve mentioned it a couple of times before, but I’ve been listening to it over and over this week.

3. Krispy Kreme donuts.

ABC Challenge: O

4. My cozy fleece jacket. The weather was warm for a few days but is nippy again this morning.

5. This comment from my husband on yesterday’s post.

You can visit Susanne’s for more favorites from the past week, and feel free to join in with your own favorites.

Happy Friday!

  1. That man is just flat out wonderful! You have been BLESSED with each other! And SHAME on YOU for showing me those doughnuts TWICE in one week! While I’m off sweets! Ugh!

  2. Oh that man has a way with words. I’d be framing those, they were so poetic!

The nearest Krispy Kreme store here is is over 200 miles away. :v(

Thanks for sharing that scripture. It’s one of my favorites and it definitely lifted me this morning.

  3. What was it about this past week? It was difficult for so many folks (including me).

Here’s to the weekend — May it be better than the previous five days. And here’s to Krispy Kreme donuts and their incomparable medicinal value. 🙂

  4. Funny … I just had Krispy Kreme yesterday at the Women’s Missions meeting …

What a beautiful comment your husband wrote! I also liked your post on homemaking very much.

God bless you! And may next week be better for everyone!

  5. Barbara! Those Krispy Kremes would go sooo well with my strawberries!! Aren’t we a fortunate people to have God’s mercy new every morning…

  6. Hi Barbara, that note from your husband is really heartwarming! He’s so sweet!

Those doughnuts look mighty tempting! Thank goodness I just had my coffee and some biscuits… 😀

  7. Nice donuts! Just 3 weeks ago I visited for the first time the only Krispy Kreme in Puerto Rico (about an hour away). We waited outside for about 20 minutes before we could even get in the store, in total about 45 minutes in line before we got to the cash register, and those who are there often said ti was pretty empty. It was worth it though. =)
