…if you see these beings skulking around your neighborhood.
It’s just my son and his friends with their Airsoft guns. Somehow they derive great fun from shooting each other with plastic pellets. (Not my idea of fun, but they like it.)
Actually, one time they were playing in an undeveloped part of a friend’s apartments, and a lady who saw them called the police. Tip: The orange tips on the end indicate toy guns.
Jesse had a few friends over who brought all their Airsoft guns, and we took them to Jason and Mittu’s house last night because they have a back yard perfect for that kind of thing. Mittu made munchies, Jeremy made homemade pizza, I brought another birthday cake, and we all had a good time. Then we came home and the boys played video games til the wee hours. Egg sandwiches and doughnuts this morning, more video games and more shooting.
Teen-age birthday get-togethers are much different from children’s! Different, but fun.
Scary! ;v) That is funny that the police were called on them, but I guess better safe than sorry if she didn’t know the difference. LOL.
Andrew wants to do airsoft guns SO bad! All 3 of my men love to shoot each other. I don’t understand it either! ๐
That’s the most important ingredient: fun.
As the mom of boys I have to say this looks like a lot of fun and it looks like a harmless good time! At least you know where they are and who they are with. The party may be different, but the fun is all the same ๐
Sounds fun! Boys will be boys – and they love guns and if they love TOY guns, all the better! Too funny about the lady calling the cops! They don’t make as much NOISE as a real gun do they??? And wouldn’t the lack of blood and standing bodies be a clue??? LOL!
What was funny about the incident, too, was that they were playing in a undeveloped plot in FRONT of the rest of the apartments — if they were were there with real guns to do harm, that’s not where they’d be and what they’d be doing. On the other hand — that might not attract new customers to the place, so I could have understood the manager complaining. But it was a lady who didn’t live in the apartments bot rather in the neighborhood. I guess like Susanne said — better safe than sorry.
My hubby is sooo not seeing this post. He’d buy one and save it for when my little boy is older. HAHA! I’ve always wondered if anyone had the police called on paintball or airsoft before! It does look like different fun! You sound like a great (laid back) Mom!
Sounds like what my Grandsons would do too!! Fun! Hugs Grams
This looks like fun. I’d play along and I’m not a teenage boy!
That orange tip on the guns is a good idea. I am glad the cops came in aware that it was just kids having a good time.
Ooooh sounds like good fun! Well, this is not my idea of fun either, but it does sound good with the munchies and all. Yummm…
Great post. Do you remember the post about my nephew’s birthday present. This was the type of gun it was. ๐
Sigh…I’m pretty sure those Air-Soft guns are in my very near future. Not my idea of fun, but…boys…’nuff said.
Wonderful picture! Great story about the police being called.
Enjoy your guys!
