Lots of good stuff here – I LOVED Quiet. The book about losing 100 pounds sounds interesting; maybe it could motivate me to lose the 15 I’ve wanted to shed for ages … and I’m going to check into the LIW challenge. I’ve loved her books since childhood!
Looks like you had a great January too! I will be joining you for your LIW challenge. I will have to go to the library for this one. There are so many good books on my nightstand I can hardly wait to get to some of them. Like the Karon books! Your post makes me anxious.
I’ll look forward to hearing about The Tenth Plague. I still have to be reminded to read fiction. 🙂 Although why, I don’t know–I almost always enjoy it once I do!

I noticed you posted your review of the introvert book the other day. (I intend to play catch-up again shortly!) I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these. I have definite introvert tendencies that I have to work on. (It’s easier for me to engage online in some respects because it’s still a “quiet” world.) I may very well need to pick up those books for myself!
Having read all of the Anne books, I really should start with Emily. I also want to continue reading the LIW books (read the first 2 last year) so I may just join in your challenge!

Both of the introvert books intrigue me…more so for my husband than me. I have some tendencies, but am not one.
I really enjoyed your review of the Karon novel you listened to–I’ve heard of but hadn’t ever really been interested in reading the Mitford series before your review. Now I might just have to add the series to my list.
I’m planning to read Little House on the Prairie along with your challenge-but I’m saying so cautiously, since I’m sure the month before the wedding will be full of all sorts of busy-ness.
You piqued my interest with your review of Quiet. I appreciate how well thought-out your reviews are! I am an introvert, do this one and the one about church are greatly of interest to me.
I need to get back to Mitford! I’ve only read one of the Mitford books.
I am reading “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and finding it very interesting. Of course, I find the Civil War in general very interesting. I am 66 and never read this classic,

100 Pound Loser has me intrigued! I’d hoped to read Emily of New Moon this month for the challenge but didn’t get it in. I’m planning to join in the LIW challenge though, since I’m right in the middle of reading the books to my 6 year old anyway!
