Do you see ads here?

I know WordPress places ads on its free blogs, but I don’t see them myself. So I wanted to ask my readers: how often do you see them here and what kinds are they?

If you ever see anything offensive on them, would you please let me know? If you could take a screen shot and e-mail it to me (click on the link in my sidebar) that would be helpful so I would know specifically how to address it with the powers that be.

Thanks so much!

    • That’s good to know! I used a different tablet, where I wasn’t logged in, to look up something on my blog just recently and was startled to see an ad under a post. I knew they put them there occasionally and got to wondering how often and if it was enough to be a nuisance to readers or if they advertised anything I wouldn’t want on here.

  1. it comes into email so no adds! I do enjoy your blog and just finished The Swan House. Your recommendation! I would recommend a thousand times!

  2. I’m not sure why I see an ad on this blog and none of the other commentators saw it? It is a pleasant appearing Ruelala Louis Vuitton purse. However, I have never seen the annoying pop up ads that won’t stay away on your blog. I follow a verity of personal blogs, decorating blogs, book review blogs, etc., and have never seen any ads of an offensive nature. This is very thoughtful and conscientious of you to ask.

  3. When I read your blog away from home (my home computer has adblock installed), I do see ads from time to time — maybe one out of five. Will try to do a screen shot for the next time an ad appears.

    • I’d forgotten I had ad blocking, too. I’m planning to check on some of my family’s devices and see if anything comes up. I’m almost wondering if they pop up on phones and tablets more than computers.

  4. Thanks, all. I’m glad it’s not a big problem. I really don’t want to have to move to a paid blog host – I really don’t want to have to move at all. ๐Ÿ™‚ So if the ads aren’t too many and aren’t a nuisance to readers, I’ll leave things as they are. Let me know if they do become too many or objectionable.

  6. I did see it for the first time, last week, I think it was. I don’t recall what it was but it must not have been bad enough to make me wonder why it was on your blog.
