Someday I will be thankful for this…

A few days ago I received my first-ever offer for a Senior Citizen’s discount.

I assured the nice young man behind the counter that I did not yet qualify.

  1. Barbara, thanks so much for your comments on my blog! I haven’t read the Gracia Burnham books yet…I really want to. As for “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to see it. But I do think Audrey Hepburn was gorgeous in her day!

  2. Ouch. It’s painful, as I recall. The first time it happened to me I felt really bad for the clerk because she was mortified. It gets to the point where it doesn’t bother you any more. Believe me, I know. 🙂

  3. LOL!

I’m sending Linky Love your way, because…are you quite ready for this? Maybe you should sit down…oh, you already are sitting? (Hmm…I usually do all my blogging standing on the highest branch of a tree in the middle of the Amazon somewhere over the rainbow. Not really, but that would be cool, wouldn’t it?) Well then, I have added your blog to my sidebar list of blogs, thereby increasing my list from five to something greater than five, and all because I think you’re really neat! Have a blessed day!

  4. I feel your pain, Barbara…LOL I went to the counter at Burger King one evening to get a small coffee and the girl behind the counter asked me if that would be a senior coffee and I actually hesitated at first, thinking….”Hey, it’ll only cost you 25 cents!” but then I came to myself and said, “No, I’m not there yet!!” LOL And needless to say, the senior coffees are no longer 25 cents!! And now I AM eligible!!

  5. Hey there,

I want to participate in the PAY IT FORWARD offer! I have been blogging for over a year, but never really meeting any new folks. I came upon your site when I googled “Shepherd Jesus”–I was looking for a picture. Now I check in every other day!

    Have a blessed day!

  6. I love the Wednesday Senior discounts at the department stores. I have to ask for them. I just wish the age of these discounts were consistent. I remember being asked at the movie theater by a young girl if I wanted the discount. My daugher was offended but hey, I didn’t mind saving the money even if I wasn’t that old yet. I never ask the age requirement, I just accept it.
