- Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
- Does anyone watch The Amazing Race? I was sorry to see those guys get eliminated especially for such a thing as reading the clue wrong. It’s those little things that will trip you up!! It was “fair and square” but I sure would rather those grouchy girls had been the ones to go.
- I have had pain in my left jaw, gums, and somewhat in my ear and left side of my head all weekend. I am not quite sure where it is all coming from, but I was going to start by seeing if I could get in to see the dentist today. But it is actually feeling immensely better even without the three ibuprofen I have been taking around the clock until this morning, so I may wait…maybe whatever it is is going away? I can’t see any redness or swelling anywhere. I’d appreciate your prayers that it would go away and for wisdom about whether to go to the doctor or dentist to see about it.
Smiling Sally hosts a Blue Monday in which we can post about anything blue.
This is a plaque I got at our local Christian bookstore, both because I liked what it said, and the blue and pink fit perfectly in my kitchen.
Also in my kitchen was this little spring arrangement with a hidden nest of eggs in it, though I took it down when I put up fall decorations.

I painted a regular clay flower pot blue with craft paint — because that’s what I had on hand. I have spray painted clay pots other times and that works just as well.
And while we’re on containers, this is a blue vase I found at the thrift store. I just liked the color, and I think it was 99 cents.
Plus there is an old candle holder with some blue floral picks I tucked in a long time ago.

Great show of blue items for Blue Monday….
Yes, I watch the amazing race too, and agree with you. I felt so sorry for those guys. There were other couples I would have rather see leave…it always seems like the ones who cause the most drama, stay longer.
Have a great week.
Your jaw pain sounds like TMJ; I hope you get relief. I prayed for you. I did watch Amazing Race–or part of it–I fell asleep in the middle. I was disappointed that those fellows lost out too. Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday!
I love the saying on the plaque! Would be a great saying to put on the wrapping for a pair of glasses or a map. I love using verses and quotes on gifts. Last Christmas, I made pumpkin bread and wrote, “Jesus is the bread of life…but this is just pumpkin bread” on the wrapping. Everyone got a kick out of it. Last halloween, I decorated a soup can (after you use the contents of the can, just clean it and decorate it), that said, “I ‘can’ do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” It was really cute, if I don’t say so myself. š So I might just have to borrow that saying! Thanks for sharing.
I love your Blue Monday post. So pretty. I really love the vase. So simple yet pretty. Thank you for visiting my Blue Monday!
love your verse on your plaque. Thank you for stopping by.
Hi Barbara,
Love the saying on the first plaque!!! Indeed, sometimes I lose sight of how far God has brought me along. Thinking about just how much God has done for me gives me strength and faith in Him to carry me through another day!
Thanks for th spiritual reminder – blessings!
I loved your plaque too. Everything is so pretty. I really like your wallpaper. Happy Blue Monday!
THat is a very nice plaque. I like the saying as well as the pink and blue together. The flowerpot and vase are lovely too. That vase was a good deal for 99 cents.
take care,
Dawn
Your blues are all nice. I especially like the plaque and the vase. Happy Blue Monday.
Sweetie

I love the plaque it looks perfect with your wallpaper. Your paper is so sweet. You are good at finding a treasure with that blue vase and the candle holder brings out the blue with the flowers.Hugs…Jeanne
I love all of your blues today. And, I hope you are feeling much better. Sometimes I get similar symptoms from my sinuses.
You have a lovely collection of blue in your home. The new plaque is beautiful and the words so meaningful. I will pray for you and hope that your jaw and ear pain go away completely without requiring any medical intervention. Take care and feel better …
Happy Blue Monday.
I really enjoy seeing all the beautiful decorative items in your home. They’re all so pretty! And blue is one of my favourite colours.
Hi Barbara
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I am so pleased to meet you.
Hugs, Rhondi
It sounds like you are suffering from TMJ. I would schedule an appointment with your dentist. You may need to get a night guard. For now I would continue to take the ibuprofen to keep the swelling down and if it doesn’t subside I would place a warm pack on your joint. Do you clench or grind your teeth? Sometimes you are not aware that you are doing that in your sleep. ~ Robyn
I was sorry to see those guys get eliminated too. I was sorta hoping Phil would say it was a non-elimination round.
Sorry about your jaw. Praying it will continue to get well.
Great blue items for blue Monday.
What sweet blue you are showing today Barbara. I’m praying your jaw is better today and thank you so much for praying for my dad. Everything went well and he should be coming home today…
Oh yes! I was sad to see those guys get eliminated too. They were a good relief from all those snippy girls :0)
I love your blue plaque – and the wall paper behind it. Nice to find your blog!
