Welcome to Friday’s Fave Five, hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story, in which we can share five of our favorite things from the last week, a wonderful exercise in looking for and appreciating the good things God blesses us with. This week has flown by. Here are some of the favorites from it:
1. Youngest son Jesse’s graduation. More on graduation weekend and its activities and photos here.
2. Oldest son Jeremy being able to come down for graduation plus a few days.
3. Family time with Jeremy, Jesse, and middle son Jason and daughter-in-law Mittu (and husband Jim, of course. 🙂 ) Skype and Facetime are great and help, but it’s just not the same as actually being all together.
4. Playing games while all the family was here.
5. Having the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team at our church Sunday morning.
Bonus: Graduations cards and gifts. Even those are not for me, it still touches my heart. When my children are blessed, I am blessed.
I think after this week life will slow down into something like normal….at least for a while. 🙂

So glad you had everyone for the graduation. A real blessing and lots of fun, indeed!
Totally agree with your bonus! My mom’s heart was so grateful and thankful for all the monetary gifts my kids have gotten when they graduated.
So glad your family was able to be together for such a special celebration!
All those cords around Jesse’s neck–honors?
Thanks for sharing your family times. It is always special to have all the family together. As the kids get older, leave the nest, and live all over the country (or in our case, world), those times are even more precious. Glad you could all be together for Jesse’s graduation weekend. :o)
Now, back to “normal” whatever that is! I have a friend who says it’s a setting on your dryer!
Yes, honors. He wasn’t at the highest GPA but the next level.
Yes, to all that, just change the names. 🙂
And here’s to a slower week next week for both of us!
Definitely relate to the bonus. I must say it felt like a gift to me when my kids got graduation gifts, especially gift cards, less money we had to spend! 😉
Love the bonus! I still remember all those cards from when I graduated. 😉
I’m glad you got to spend time with your whole family! It sounds like a wonderful time.
I’m so glad you got to have your whole family together! Playing games together is what our family does when we get together. too. Fun times!
Congratulations to Jeremy! Glad to hear about your family time. 🙂
How wonderful to have all your boys together for Jesse’s graduation. Family time is the best!
Graduation weekend is always so crazy, but what a great time! Hope you can catch your breath in the coming week. Enjoy.
I’m glad you had a great graduation week! I know you’re ready to settle down to normal again. I’m still waiting on that one . . .
I know having all of your family together was special….do the boys get along well? What are Jesse’s plans now that he is finished with high school?
I like to play games and meant to play Mexican Train Dominoes while my sister was visiting last week but we never did. Wish we could just rent someone to play games with when we’re in the mood. Lately my thing is puzzles. Just began a new one on Tuesday.
Blessings,
Mama Bear
Yes, they do get along well. Jesse will most likely go to a local college to study computer programming for two years, get an associate’s degree, and then transfer to another college for a four year degree.
Wonderful family faves, Barbara. After graduation, what will you do when normal comes ’round again???
