To the tune of “Do Your Ears Hang Low?”
Oh, my nose, it runs
At most inconvenient times
Leaving overflowing trash cans
Filled with tissues full of slime.
It’s become a drip-o-matic.
My condition still is static!
Oh, my nose, it runs.
Oh, my head is filled
With such pressures in my sinus
And such fogginess of brain.
And my energy is minus.
Who’d have thought a simple head cold
Could cause scheduling to implode?
I’m ready for a nap.
An original composition.
I am so sad you are feeling poorly–but that was hilarious. Your humor isn’t broken. (())
praying you get better soon
Oh Barbara. You sent me into giggles. I’m sorry to hear about your runny nose and I hope you’ll recover soon. Thanks for the poem! π
Too cute and my son can relate right now! Would you mind if I posted it on my blog? Your name would be included of course as author.
I have a new tune to hum through my stopped up, plugged up head! Very funny and right on target!
Barbara, right now I have the king of all summer colds and I must say your clever little ditty put a smile on my face.
It’s miserable, I know — but I am glad to have been of help. π
