I love pretty note cards and stationery. Even though most of my communication is electronic now, I still love sending and receiving notes on beautiful paper. I have to restrain myself from buying more because I have a backlog.

Note cards and stationery

I also love the gorgeous paper available for scrapbooking, note card making, and other paper crafts.

Scrapbooking paper

See what kinds of photos other people have come up with for the “paper” theme at tnchick’s site here.

(By the way, here’s a free tip for remembering that stationery is for writing paper and stationary is for an unmoving object: the one for paper has an e, and you can remember “e for envelope.” That’s the only way I could keep them straight for a long time.)

  1. I have always admired scrapbookers for their marvelous papers. I wanted to scrapbook just because of the paper! But I’m not that type (artistic!). Beautiful shots.

  2. I fear that the use of paper is an endangered art in this electronic age. (But imagine trying to do the blog round on paper!!)
    Nice pics. 🙂
    Thanks for visiting.

  3. Not bad…you are creating awareness for the wrong usage of English. Anyway, I would love to get my hands on those fancy printed papers. I can do lots of unusual things with them. All I could get over here are mostly textured papers. Nice work here 🙂

  4. Thaat is so pretty!! I bet you enjoy scrap booking!! I have never tried this. Have a nice weekend! Thanks for visiting my blog! Grams

  5. It’s true in this modern electronic age the usage of paper has lessen and everything is available online and I too still enjoying receiving cards/letters. The feeling is just different and you don’t need to switch on your computer to have a look at it 🙂 Oh yah thanks for the tip and dropping by my site

  6. Yes, even though we send electronic cards these days, but I still feel that during special occasions, cards should be sent using the traditional way. Hee. Hee. Have a fun day!

  7. Tried to leave a comment on your show and tell, but the website kept kicking me off! I do like the scarecrows, and I have a couple of plastic bins full of paper–and I quit buying it about 4 years ago! Don’t ask me about my fabric stash, though. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  8. What a beautiful collection of paper! It certainly fits the theme! Makes me want to sit down at the desk and write a letter!

  9. I love the old fashioned way of communicating, more personal and more special. Oh! I should have taken photos of my stationery collection which I still have with me when I was in elementary. Tsk, tsk..

Scrapbooking is a mystery to me. I may not be able to make very creative products but I am willing to give it a try. Will be trying the digital ones first before I do it for real.

Thanks for sharing your photos, Barbara. Have a great weekend! 🙂

  10. Good thinking for this theme. I love using regular stationery also — thanks for the tip about spelling as I almost spelled it wrong. Ü

    Come see mine.

  11. I love your display of cards and scrapbooking paper. We have come a long way with our scrapbooks over the years. Thanks for sharing.

Have a new week filled with love and laughter!
