Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt: Flexible

The first thing I thought of when I saw this week’s theme was this little flexible tripod we got my oldest son to use with his digital camera. I can’t take the credit for being hip and knowing about it — he told us about it. 🙂 You can bend the legs, wrap them around something, and move the part that holds the camera to different angles.

It gives you a lot of versatility in being able to use your camera in different places and at different angles.

My second thought for flexibility was Jesse, the most flexible member of our family. I often see him playing or doing homework in what would seem to me to be very uncomfortable poses! The first picture I call “pretzel mode,” the second “vulture mode.” I’ve used these previously in Wordless Wednesday photos, but they fit here. 🙂

  1. You did a good job! That tripod is really flexible!! Your son is flexible ,too! Thanks for your kind words today!! I hope you have a great weekend! Blessings Grams

  2. Oh my goodness, I love that tripod! now about your son…he should be in gymnastics with a goal towards an Olympic medal! Thats beyond flexible! My photo is up please come and visit

  3. Interesting tripod. I can see it having some practical applications. I have a lightweight collapsible tripod which is always where my camera isn’t whne I really need it. Well, not always, really. People see it and think it is so cute–then it unfolds into the real deal. And I plan to take it backpacking next summer.

I had a student last year who was like your Jesse–never could sit in a chair.

  4. I like the tripod, it has a cartoonish feel. 😀
And Jesse, his sitting position speaks of how concentrated he is with what he is doing. So it seems. 🙂

  5. Oh, I want one of those tripods!! And my oldest is flexible like that too – he actually sleeps with his legs all crossed up like that!

    Happy Weekend.

  6. I adore the vulture pose! Once upon a time (a long time) I might have done that myself 🙂 And I’d never heard of a flexible tripod, which seems an excellent idea.

  7. Oh, I so want one of those tripods. And yes, he is awfully flexible–my little brother was like that, still is and he is 28. 🙂 It is funny–we have some VERY flexible types and some not so flexible types–like me. Even after 14 years of dance–not flexible. 🙂

  8. I’m seeing a lot of resemblance in the tripod and Jesse! LOL

There aren’t Bowens in your lineage by any chance? In my family, The Vulture is known as the Bowen Squat!

  9. Great pics! Love that tripod — didn’t know it existed and now will make a point of hunting for one for myself. As for Jesse: Hahahahaha, guess he’s got flexible as well as long legs! 😀
