It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! I wanted to show some of my Christmas presents my dear family showered me with this year.
My husband got me two new Boyd’s Bears:

I love this pretty winter one.
This one says around the bottom, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, Mother was right after all.”
Some new books:
My blog friend Anita in Germany often mentions these Tilda books. I just love her style.
This pretty cameo:
My future daughter-in-law sent me this beautiful tablecloth:
I love the lace and pretty stitching, especially the hearts in the corners.
It’s small, about the size of one you’d put on a round end table. It’s almost too pretty to use. But then again, I really hate it when I give something to someone and they stick it in a closet because they don’t want to mess it up. I want them to use it. So I will look for a place to display this.
Hope you are having a good first week of 2009!

You received some beautiful gifts. The doilie is so pretty! Definately use it!!
Boy! Does your family know you or WHAT??? You got some great “you” gifts! That is awesome!
Smart future DIL…making the points! Thanks for sharing. Happy Show ‘n Tell Friday!
Lovely presents. Looks like your future dil has good taste!
Those craft books look so fun! I love the one with red and pink…gets me excited for valentine’s day!
Ashley 🙂
Lovely things, enjoy them all.
Thanks for showing and telling,

I love both of your Boyd’s Bears – the first for its beauty, the second for it’s humor! LOL
You future DIL made a beautiful choice for her gift to you. I love hearts too!
It was fun to see your gifts. Happy New Year!
What lovely gifts, Barbara. New Year blessings to you and yours!
Your gifts are all lovely. The books look like they will keep you happily busy.
I love your Boyd’s! I have my eye on one and plan to order it before the end of January.
I’d put that on top of a round table cloth on a round table with glass on top and place it in the guest room. Then she would see it whenever she visits and know you are proud of it.
Such wonderful gifts. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the little Boyd’s bear sitting at the vanity…that is so me! The tablecloth is beautiful and YES, YES, YES find someway to use it! it’s much to pretty to be packed away somewhere. :0).
I hope you have a very HAPPY NEW YEAR and enjoyed the treasures you shared today.
Hugs!
Love the gifts. But that daughter-in-law is a keeper! Your tablecloth is beautiful.
All your gifts were beautiful……looks like you enjoy getting books just like I do! And I agree….use that lovely tablecloth somewhere if you can….I don’t like it when someone puts a gift I give them away for “safekeeping”. I already have two daughters-in-law who are blessings from the Lord…….sounds like you’re getting a really nice one too.
