- Whew! Busy day. I feel like I’ve been “going” all day — and I am definitely not the Energizer Bunny! It’s nice to sit down for a while.
- Jason got his first full-time pay check a few days ago and remarked, “Now I know why people gripe about taxes so much!” Welcome to adulthood, m’boy.
- The boys went to a fellowship at church last week that I missed due to not feeling well, and when they got home I asked them what kinds of things were served. In naming some of the things, Jeremy said something that sounded like “foreos.” I said, “What….?” He replied, “Fake Oreos. Faux Oreos. Fauxreos.” I thought that was pretty clever.
- Had a quick and easy dinner tonight. We had some leftover sausage from Jeremy’s pizza last week and a partial package of pepperoni, so I stopped at the store for some crescent roll dough (love that stuff! What did we do before someone invented it?) and provolone cheese and made pizza rolls. Then I borrowed an idea from Jason’s fiancee that she had made once while she was here and made a few with chocolate chips and a glaze made of powdered sugar, milk, and a bit of vanilla for dessert. Good stuff.

Oh, you’re making my mouth water! And yeah, like the foreos! That’s funny!
Mmmmm just coming home from work and not eating dinner yet you are making me hungry. Those sound and look so good. Yum yum. Wait until April 15th and he Jason has to do his taxes…real world will hit then LOL. Love the m’boy … you go girl 🙂
Okay Barbara, I think we are good enough friends by now so I’m not shamed to ask you things like this. Well I never really was but I want to understand this. LOL…me and my big mouth 🙂 I’m lost with this Fauxoreos. Fake Oreos? Can ya help me out a little…It will be my learning for the day 🙂
LOL — I didn’t think to explain this. Fake Oreos are cookies that look like Oreos — chocolate outside, cream insides — but are an off brand.
Crap…can you tell it was late at night when I made this comment LOL I interpreted this all wrong. I thought it was something to do with the church. It makes so much sense now LOL. Thank you for putting up with my insanity.
The taxes comment made me smile. I remember thinking that.
And the fake Oreos comment was very clever.

Your crescents look similar to the ones I make. I break up Hershey’s Dark Chocolate bars and wrap them in the crescent rolls, then we top them with Hershey’s chocolate syrup…well teh boys do, I can’t have them anymore. Yum!!

I am not even a sweet’s lover……you know that :-)…..but those sweet crescent rolls look yummo even to me, maybe it’s because I’ve been sick all week and haven’t had anything solid to eat for five days. But I am on the mend….slowly.
