Friday’s Fave Five

FFF fall leaves 2

Susanne at Living to Tell the Story hosts a “Friday Fave Five” in which we share our five favorite things from the past week. Click on the button to read more of the details, and you can visit Susanne to see the list of others’ favorites or to join in.

1. A ladies’conference that a sister church invited our ladies to last weekend with the theme “Christ My Light.”

2. A relatively quiet week after several busy ones.

3. The Private Diary of Bella Swan, HT to Carrie. I haven’t read the Twilight books and only saw the film because my son and his girlfriend wanted to, so I’m not a fan, but I thought this was funny.

4. This video:

5. Not one but TWO food items! Both chocolate.

I’m on a quest to find a chocolate chess pie recipe that tastes similar to the one at Golden Corral. The first one I tried was The Angus Barn Chocolate Chess Pie. It was good – but not like Golden Corral’s. So the experimentation will continue. 🙂

And I’ve been craving these Choco Peanut Butter Dreams for days and finally made them last night.

Happy Friday!

  1. May I please come to your house and devour all of your chocolate?! Those look delicious!

Glad you enjoyed the Secret Diary. haha!

Have a wonderful, blessed and restful weekend!

  2. Oh, my…I can almost smell that chocolate just looking at the pictures of the desserts. I think if it were me, I’d have to keep on “experimenting” for a LONG time until I found the right chess pie.

  3. I enjoyed the video of the flight attendant rapper. You always find unique things to share on your blog!

I am definitely a chocoholic so I’m going to look up that choc. chess pie recipe!

Loved the flight attendant! Go Southwest!

  6. I can tell I’m going to have to quit blogging for Fall & Winter! There is just tooooooooo much good food being shared in the blogosphere! LOL! But the rapping flight attendant cracked me UP!

  7. That flight attendant is hilarious! Like the recipe for the Chocolate Dreams, I am going to have to try those. Thanks for posting the link. And yes quiet week is always a good thing!!! 🙂

I’m starving for those cookies right about now.

  9. A ladies conference followed by a fairly quiet week would be favorited by me too. Add in that yummy chocolate and it would just put it over the top.

The rapping flight attendant was very fun to watch. Thanks for sharing!
