The perfect Christmas letter photo…

…is elusive.

This one is pretty good except my eyes are closed.

This one is pretty good except Grandma is looking a little fierce. This was the fourth attempt and she was getting tired.

…Not quite centered…

Great! Except for the bunny ears above Mittu’s head.

And more bunny ears!!

We took 13 all together. I ended up going with the first one, even though my eyes are closed. I figured the size the photo would be in our Christmas letter, perhaps no one would notice. I know some of these could have been photoshopped, like the second to last, but I don’t know how to do that (yet! I need to learn) and I didn’t have time to ask Jeremy to work on them.

But even though there wasn’t a “perfect” photo, we had fun (well, maybe except for Grandma)…and all together these represent a pretty accurate “snapshot” of our family life. 🙂

Thank you for all your congratulations on our anniversary! I hope to tell you about our “special plans” in the next day or so.

  1. These are so fun. It’s so hard to get everyone to cooperate. What a good looking family 🙂 I love the one with the bunny ears LOL 🙂

  2. ROFLMBO!!! I love these! MY personal favorite – and the one I would probably choose to go with is the one where your hubby and his mom are looking at each other! Everyone else is deliriously happy and it just SPEAKS to me!

By the way – Amanda & I BOTH chose the one where she and I had our heads tipped back in hysterical laughter for OUR favorite of us! We like to keep it real! hehehe…

  3. I loved them all, Barbara! Because they are all of your family and not perfectly posed, you know? I love the one where Jim’s mom is looking up at him! 🙂
I must be slow but we’ve never taken a Christmas photo before. I guess we just never th ought about it or “I” never thought about it because I am the resident photo taker. Maybe this will be the year that we take our first Christmas family picture! I’ll let you know! 🙂

  4. ….AND I just about died laughing when I read that you thought Grandma looked a little “fierce” in the
second photo! It just struck me as so funny for you to say that! 🙂

  5. I love all of the pictures but especially the one where Grandma looks a little fierce – lol.
I didn’t notice your eyes were closed until you pointed it out. Good choice. It will make a lovely card 🙂

  6. Well, I like the third one up from the bottom. I love that grandma and son are looking at each other. What I noticed most was the expression on your Husband’s face didn’t change much in any of them. Yet, everyone else was having a ball. I think the ones where you were acting up were the ones you needed to send.
    Merry Christmas,
    Mama Bear
