Spring break and April Fool’s Day

Hi all,

Spring break is this week, and I didn’t think that would affect blogging much…but it is! I have my Friday Faves post all set, but otherwise I don’t know if I will be here much for the next few days. I’ve been keeping up with Google Reader as much as I can, but my word, you all are prolific when I am only checking once or twice a day as opposed to off and on through the day! πŸ™‚

We’re doing ok. Jesse has a humongous Spanish project due the first day back at school that he has been working on for weeks, and thankfully he got it done Monday.

If you want to see the cutest Easter cake, click hereΒ atΒ i am baker. Be sure to scroll down for a glimpse of the inside — that’s the most clever part! She’s having a pretty nifty giveaway, too!

We have never done much for April Fool’s Day, but I have always wanted to try some of these fake-out food dishes at Family Fun. Maybe some day….:-) (Watch out fellas!)

I hope you are having a great Easter week.

  1. Thanks girl! You are the sweetest! I wanted to try some of those fun dishes too but time just got away from me… next year! πŸ™‚

  2. That Easter cake is adorable. I’m going to remember the joke foods for next year. They won’t expect that.

  3. Well have a good one my friend and Happy Easter to you and your family. I don’t do much for April Fools day but those joke food looks like something fun next year πŸ™‚

  4. I think this summer we’re going to have a Silly Supper night when I can get all the kids together! Not the fake foods — but that dinner GAME! That is a HOOT! And yes… that IS the cutest Easter cake EVER! I wonder how she got that chick inside… very clever!

  5. Hi Barbara! I’ll have to go and have a look-see at the websites you recommended!
Have a blessed Easter with your family! ((HUGS))

  6. I know what you mean. It is hard to keep up when you aren’t on regularly. Can’t see every post or comment on them. I think it is the beautiful Spring that keeps me away from the computer. I’ve been walking more and spending more time with my Daughter now that she is between jobs.
I guess you noticed Google’s April Fool’s joke. My grandson asked me last night if I thought it was a joke. I had not even considered it but I told him it could very well be. Then Honey Bear explained all that was going on and I knew they didn’t really change their name. They did have me convinced for a while, though.
