Woot!
Well, the main desktop that I use isn’t connected because we need a certain cable. But my husband is letting me use his little notebook.
Still way too much to do to play for long, but it’s nice to know I can take a break online here and there!
The bathrooms and bedrooms are mostly set up and I am working on the kitchen today.
I just have to tell you this — the new house had a washer, dryer, and refrigerator, but we were going to bring our own from the old house, swap it out with what was here, and then take them back to SC to the old house for the kids to use. But when we got here and started to disconnect the washer and dryer here, we discovered the dryer was a GAS dryer! Somehow we had missed that before. So we swapped the other appliances out, but, of course, not that one! I didn’t know they made gas dryers. I also have a gas oven (yes I DID notice that was gas beforehand…), which I haven’t had since I was a kid, so that will take a bit of adjusting, but probably not much.
Going to a new W-Mart in a new town is an experience — especially when it is the TN tax-free weekend. That place was horrendous. Thankfully Ingles was laid out almost just like the one I was used to.
Looking forward to getting back to regular blogging…some day!
You are getting lots done. It’s exciting setting up a new house.
WOOT!!! I’ve heard that gas appliances are much cheaper to run. I wouldn’t know. Glad you have internet and you are getting things sorted out š Have fun š
It is tax free weekend in Huntsville this weekend, too…My first dryer was gas because our gas company was city owned and they offered a discount..I don’t think it lasted very long compared to the electric ones..
I’m sure it is hot where you are…I told Honey Bear, we always seemed to move in the summer time…I know its exciting deciding where to put things in your new home.
Mama Bear
I think gas driers run hotter than electric ones. You’ll want to keep an eye on the temp and times until you’re used to it. I would love a house with gas appliances. If I could have them in this house then it really would be perfect.
So glad you were able to get on the internet for a little while, Barbara…..makes life seem a little more “normal”, I’m sure!
Hope all continues to go smoothly for you!
Can’t wait to see pix!
Yay! You have internet! I think you’ll love the gas stove. I had them for about 20 years and I love cooking with gas, but I’ve never had a gas dryer so I don’t know how well they work.
We have a gas dryer and it’s great!
We have a gas dryer. My husband suggested it because it’s more economical…
Glad you’re transplanted safe and sound!
Ohhhhhh it is SO much easier to go from electric to gas cooking than the other way around! I remember how I HATED my first electric range! I would STILL rather have gas! (even after 32 years!) LOL! So there! I’m already jealous of your new place – and I haven’t seen the first picture! š
Wonderful – I am glad you are moved! No hurry – we will still be here… take your time. Blessings.
Everything is coming along! That’s great. š
