..flew by without me noticing it all. I can’t believe it has been six years since my first blog post on July 27, 2006.
In that time I’ve gone from “40-something” to “50-something,” one son has gotten married, two have left home, the last has graduated from high school and will start college in a few weeks, my mother passed away, my mother-in-law came to live near us, we’ve changed states…..it’s been a busy six years, full of changes, yet “through every change He faithful still remains.”
Blogging has been an outlet, a growing and stretching experience, and a lot of fun. I’ve been blessed to get to know many dear friends along the way, and I miss many who are no longer blogging.
I often like to do a little something special for my readers on my blogiversary, this year I’ve decided to give away a copy of the book I reviewed yesterday, Not By Chance: Learning to Trust a Sovereign God by Layton Talbert. I believe it will be a faith-strengthening blessing to anyone who reads it. I may tuck in an extra little something if I can come up with an idea. 🙂 To enter the drawing for the book, just leave a comment below and let me know how long you’ve been reading here and how you found me, if you can remember. CONGRATULATIONS, BARBARA! I started reading your blog in November of 2011, not long ago. Yours was the first blog I discovered, probably through an e-mail from you. I hardly knew what a blog was before yours. I have to praise you for your consistency in biblical analysis, your balance and kindness in writing on sometimes difficult or controversial themes. You always come across as sharing and not judging. I appreciate that. I also appreciate your thoughtfulness and research. A real blessing! Keep on keeping on! :o)

I wish I could remember when I first started reading your blog or how I found you. I think it’s been at least two years (?). But however or whenever I started, I thank God I did. You have encouraged me and challenged me and motivated me to press on in Truth, whether it’s popular or not,
So I just happened to look at how long I’ve been blogging; tomorrow will be exactly 4 years since my first post. Time flies!
Apparently I started blogging just TWO DAYS before you! (I totally missed the anniversary of that! I’ll have to do something. Think, think, think.)
I would LOVE to be entered for this book as it sounds like something I would very much enjoy. As for how I met you . .. I’m going to make an educated guess that it was through 5 Minutes for Books. But I could be wrong! 😀
