Books Read in 2025

Books read in 2025

I enjoyed an eclectic reading year, with some classics, some contemporary; some hot off the press, some that had been on my shelf for decades; some fiction, some nonfiction. I ended up with 65 books finished this year.

Titles link to my reviews. “MTBR” behind a title indicates this is a book I owned before this year and am counting it for the Mount TBR (To Be Read) Reading Challenge,.

Nonfiction

Classics

Christian Fiction

Other Fiction

Next up: my top picks from this year’s reading.

How was your reading year?

  2. “Van Gogh Has a Broken Heart” was one I enjoyed very much. And I read it in perfect timing with the Van Gogh Immersive exhibit I attended locally.

  4. I hhave been reading your blog for years and enjoy the book reviews.

One of the best books I read last year was My Dear Hemlock. It is a Screwtape Letters for women…and is superb. When I first heard of it, I thought it would be silly, but it truly is an amazing book. It sounds like the author ate and breathed Mr Lewis, for the style is very similar to his, and the insights she has into the female mind is so spot on. I’d love to hear how she got such good ideas.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that title since you’ve shared so many good books.
