Crosses

Psalm 51:1-10:

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

I John 1:7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Psalm 51

John 15:3: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Psalm 119:9: Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

  1. I think that is so awesome what you chose as your picture of the week and the scripture to go with it!

    Happy Easter to you!

  2. That’s the best one and most appropriate for this weekend. I thought of using Jesus, but I don’t have a picture of anything that I took myself. Best Picture I’ve seen πŸ™‚ Happy Easter!!

Thanks again for sharing these lovely words. God bless.

  5. I did think about the “clean” theme this week and think about the verse where we are washed as white as snow. Lovely!

  6. How appropriate for this weekend… Christ’s sacrifice paid the price so that all mankind can be cleansed …. the price has been paid… one only has to choose to accept His gift. Have a blessed Easter.

  12. Wonderful post. Excellent choice for today’s theme and for the Easter weekend. Thanks for sharing and stopping by today.

  13. Very good take on the theme, especially with Easter, and what a nice, simple depiction of the crosses. I much prefer those to the elaborate, ornate ones. Happy Easter!

  14. Very appropriate. I had thought about doing something along these lines, but got carried away with the photo I did post. We don’t celebrate Easter, per se, in the church of Christ. We celebrate Christ risen not on one day of the year, but every day of the year. Hope we can all remember to do this. God bless you.

  15. As white as snow….
    Wow!
Great choice for The Hunt (God put this idea on both our hearts.)
