More quizzes

I don’t know why, but I enjoy these silly little things.

You Are a Calculator

No matter what someone tells you, you’re likely to focus on facts and data.

You’re a highly analytic person. You are only concerned with what you can know for sure.

You look at situations objectively, and you have no problem approaching problems from multiple angles.

You would make a good analyst or investment banker. You are confident enough to make tough calls and hard decisions.

You Were an Achieving Kid

When you were a kid, people often remarked on how mature you seemed. You acted quite adult.

You excelled at school, and you actually enjoyed it to a large extent. No one had to ask you to do your homework. As a kid, you were probably a bit picky. You liked structure, schedules, and organization.

You had trouble being friends with regular kids. You probably were only friends with other serious children.

Pretty accurate except my friends were all “regular kids.” I think I was, too — just more bookish. But I loved to play as well.

You Are a Playwright

You are a highly literate wordsmith. You love both reading and writing.

You are also a natural storyteller. You can turn a mediocre anecdote into a riveting tale. You find people and all aspects of life fascinating. No topic is off limits for you.

In modern times, you would make a good filmmaker or novelist.

That’s encouraging! I like to write and have often thought about “doing something with it” beyond blogging. I don’t know about turning the mediocre into a riveting tale, though — I’d like to be able to do that, but I have to fight against the tendency to tell every little detail that makes people’s eyes glaze over before getting to the point.

  1. ROFL! These things drive me nuts! I am also a calculator. Then I’m told I was an ACTIVE child – very popular and good at sports! LOL! I was nowhere near popular and never played a sport! But the last one was the funniest!

    You are a Cartographer!
You have a wide range of knowledge and you’re very detail oriented.
You have a photographic memory, and you remember places very well.

Like a middle ages cartographer, you’re also very adventurous and curious about the world.
In modern times, you would make a good non-fiction writer or scientist.

ROFLMBO! As FAR from ME as could possibly BE! Photographic memory… riiiiiiiiiiight! Adventurous is right… but that’s about all!

  2. I just think it is hilarious that women in particular love to categorize themselves. If you look at “Women’s World” magazine, there is a quiz in every issue! BUT no one else is allowed to categorize…I can pigeonhole myself (I know my season, my love language, my personality type, my body type, my learning style…), but don’t you suggest what “type” of anything I am! 😉 Sorta like how my students would balk at having a seating chart that would place them in the same seat each class period…but, inevitably, what happens? Give ’em a week, and they’ve found their niche, their spot. And don’t you sit there! 🙂 So…I learned to wait until the second week of classes…then pass around the chart. People are funny, no matter what “type” they are. Maybe finding our respective niches helps us feel less vulnerable in an uncertain world. Maybe I got too little sleep last night, and am thinking waaaaaaaay too hard about this! 😀

  3. I think you may be over-thinking it, Diane. 🙂 It’s a just-for-fun thing — more about a fun way of getting to know blog neighbors than categorizing ourselves or anyone else. I just think it is interesting how answering a few seemingly unrelated questions in a quiz can often reveal a lot about a person. Many times for me it’s spot-on, sometimes a little off, only once or twice way off. It doesn’t usually tell me anything about myself I don’t know already, and I wouldn’t make any major life decisions on quizzes like this.

In “real life” if I had people over, we’d get to know each other playing Scrabble or the Wii (or snacks or dinner, most likely) rather than quizzes. That’s all it is.

I guess that’s one reason I don’t take them in magazines — besides the fact that I don’t usually buy women’s magazines, so I just don’t see them — but the fun part is laughing over the results with friends.

  4. LOL as you know you turned me on to these and I just like doing them as well and the best part is everyone else chiming in and saying what they are and then why or why not it fits:

    ONE: Sorta Fits

    You Are a Coffee Mug
You have loads of energy and stamina. You can zip through the most boring of tasks with complete enthusiasm.
You are also great at motivating a group. You are a fearless leader.

You are efficient and productive. You don’t put off tasks or procrastinate. You actually enjoy working.
You would make a good small business owner or startup employee. If a job requires blood, sweat, and tears – then you have some to give.

    TWO: This is me

    You Were an Active Kid
When you were a kid, you were happy as long you didn’t have to sit still.
You were very hyper, and it was hard for you to sit through class or finish your homework.

It’s likely that you were a natural athlete and a natural entertainer. You loved to play outside with your friends.
You were an outgoing, popular kid. Put you in a sports game or a school play, and you really shined.

THREE: I love to gossip LOL

    You Are a Messenger
You are a great communicator and quite persuasive too.
And to be honest, your also a bit of a gossip. You like to know what’s going on with people.

You can deliver almost any message to anyone, and they’ll take it better coming from you.
In modern times, you would make a good journalist or diplomat.

  5. I am a whiteboard! You are a dreamer, a visionary, and a straight up idea person. You are very creative. Even if the things you think up are a bit wacky, they often are brilliant. You are an adept problem solver. You are always tossing around dozens of ideas. You would make a good artist, designer, or architect. You do best when work feels like play.

The 2nd one was way off! It says I was the creative kid! No. I was the kid sitting in a corner reading, or racing her bike down the street at full speed. That’s always been me, Full stop, or full speed ahead!

I’m a cartographer! You have a wide range of knowledge and you’re very detail oriented.
You have a photographic memory, and you remember places very well. Like a middle ages cartographer, you’re also very adventurous and curious about the world. In modern times, you would make a good non-fiction writer or scientist.
