Friday’s Fave Five

FFF fall leaves 2

Susanne at Living to Tell the Story hosts a “Friday Fave Five” in which we share our five favorite things from the past week. Click on the button to read more of the details, and you can visit Susanne to see the list of others’ favorites or to join in.

This is going to be short (which some would say is an improvement. 🙂 ) but hopefully sweet as I have a lot to get done today.

1. Cooler temperatures.

2. Good reports from doctor visits  and lab work. Nothing wrong besides the usual issues — just catching up on check-ups.

3. The Lord lifting up and encouraging when I was down and frustrated and providing grace and strength and guidance for things I needed to do.

4. This cracked me up:

funny pictures of cats with captions
see more Lolcats and funny pictures

5. And this touched my heart — one of the neatest things I have ever seen:

Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

  2. Thanks so much for sharing that video… this actually happened very close to where I live, and I remember when it occurred. It was amazing, then and it still amazes me now. Miraculous. still brings me to tears.

and I am thankful for the cooler weather too… I’m wearing my fuzzy robe this morning and it feels so good☺

  3. HA! I needed to see that cartoon this morning. Very funny. And yes, let’s hear it for cooler weather!

  4. That story always grips my heart no matter how many times I watch it :0)
I’m glad you got some encouragement from the Lord …

  5. The meerkat picture cracked me up. Too funny.

And video totally made me cry. I used to work with autistic kids so it especially gripped my heart.

  6. I’m enjoying the cooler temperatures also. And great to hear your doctor reports are all good. I’m praying #3 for me today. Thankful that the Lord DOES answer our cries for help. Have a great weekend.

  7. Love your fave five, Barbara and yes, I’m thankful for cooler temps, too.
I saw the story about the autistic boy on the evening news and it was awesome AND made me cry!
It took me awhile to get the cartoon. :-/ I actually had to read Susanne’s comment before I got it. “Meer Kat” Velly funny. 🙂
I have my checkup with the dr. at the end of the month. I sure all will check out ok.
So thankful that you found grace and strength just when you needed it, Barbara. The Lord is so faithful and right on time everytime,hm?

  8. I can’t thank you enough for sharing that video. It was awe inspiring. Just awesome my friend. What a wonderful week you had. Thanks for sharing and I wish you a very happy Weekend as well 🙂 Much Aloha

  9. The basketball clip seems to be making its way around recently. I saw it two years ago and it’s still heart-warming. 🙂

I don’t get the mere cat comic.. something I don’t know about mere cats maybe? haha!

  10. That video touches my heart each and every time I see it! My son is autistic and high functioning like the boy in the video. How awesome is it that he got all those 3 pointers!

  11. I love that story. I have seen it several times…but it is so meaningful. I think we can all appreciate the fall weather and changing colors.

  12. This is a great list of blessings. I like the way you include smiles. Very important.

I wish I felt more thankful for the cooler temps here. It’s been overcast and drizzly, and we’ve had the furnace running every day. Just a peek of sun would make a world of difference.

  13. That video is awesome! I watched it twice! That man is a GOOD coach! I like that a lot.

Glad all was good with the docs and the tests!

And yes – hasn’t the cooler weather been GRAND?!
