Friday’s Fave Five

FFF

It’s been a busy week, but a good one. I’m pausing with Susanne at Living to Tell the Story to share blessings from the week.

1. Jason and Mittu’s 17th anniversary! It’s hard to believe they’ve been married that long! It was fun to look at wedding photos in my Facebook memories.

2. Timothy’s first day in a new school. He has been taught at home with an online curriculum up until now. Jim texted to ask how his first day went, and he said, “Cool and amazing.”

3. Dinner and catching up. Jason and Mittu brought dinner over Tuesday night, and we got to hear more about the school experience and what classes Timothy is taking.

4. Anticipation. My oldest son is coming to visit for a little over a week.

5. Jim’s help. I have a master cleaning list that I work through before someone comes to visit. I asked Jim if he could sweep and vacuum the floors for me. He did that plus a few other things on the list. I usually divide it over a couple of days, but we got most of it done in one.

How was your second week of August?

  1. These are such wonderful, special blessings. I clicked on your link to see the wedding photos. I love wedding photos! They look so radiant! Happy (belated) Anniversary to them.

Yay for Timmy loving school! is it private school or public? I’m sure he will do well in either setting.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your oldest son and that your cleaning list continues to get checked off!

    Have a restful weekend

  2. I’m glad you linked the wedding photos. I LOVE looking at wedding photos, even if I don’t know the people very well. Haha! Jason and Mittu look so happy, and she is a beautiful bride. I have to say the cakes look fabulous, too.

Good luck to Timothy on his new adventure. It’s sounds like he is off to a great start.

Team cleaning is the best. I’m grateful that my husband doesn’t mind pitching in.

  3. I loved the wedding photos since I don’t think I “knew” you then — beautiful wedding and congrats to them! I’m so glad Timothy seems happy with the new school. And I’m happy with you for having your oldest son home soon for a visit!

  4. Oh, what fun you have had this week, and it looks like you have even more fun waiting in the wings with the arrival of your son!

It sounds like Timothy is really enjoying his new school experience. I’m so glad.

  5. Lots of excitement over at your house! I know you’ve been excited for your son’s visit.

That’s great news that Timothy enjoyed his first day of school!

Happy Anniversary to Jason and Mittu!

Enjoy your visit this week. I imagine there will be lots of family get-togethers!

  6. I have a mental list, too, of the things I need to do when one of the kids comes for a visit. Which I need to get to this weekend as my oldest is coming for a few days this week. Happy anniversary to Jadon & Mittu! How exciting for Timothy to be starting a new school adventure!

  7. It is so exciting for you that your son is coming to visit!

And I like the idea for having a ‘to do’ list of chores for prepping the house for company. I should make one.

Congrats to Timothy starting a new school and grade.

    Have a good week! Willow

  8. That is so smart to have a master cleaning list! I’m glad to hear Timothy had a good start to a new experience. He seems such a thoughtful well-adjusted kid. And, yes, congrats to his parents!
